NON-SURGICAL APPROACH

Not every problem in the hand, wrist, elbow, or shoulder requires surgery.

Non-surgical methods are the first line of treatment for upper extremity conditions. Specialized injections and physiotherapy techniques can be effective for this purpose.

At our clinic, ultrasound-guided injections—including PRP, hyaluronic acid, steroids, and various orthobiologics—are administered directly to the site of the problem to treat conditions affecting the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder.

NON-SURGICAL TREATMENTS

Peptide Injection

  • Peptide injection in orthopedics is an innovative regenerative medicine method in which amino acid chains (peptides) are injected directly into the affected area to trigger the repair and regeneration of tissues—such as damaged tendons, ligaments, cartilage, and muscles—at the cellular level.
Orthobiologic Injections

  • These are injections that utilize biological products derived from the patient's own blood, such as PRP. In suitable patients, they can be administered to support the tissue's natural healing process, reduce pain, and improve function.
Steroid Injection

  • It is a corticosteroid injection administered to reduce pain and the inflammatory process in a specific area, such as a joint, tendon sheath, or bursa. Its effect is primarily aimed at controlling symptoms; the decision to administer it should be based on the type of condition and the patient's characteristics.
Hyaluronic Acid Injection

  • It is the intra-articular administration of hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally found in joint fluid. It can be used in selected joint conditions to enhance lubrication, reduce pain during movement, and improve joint function.

Surgery: For the Right Patient, at the Right Time.

Not every problem involving the hand, wrist, elbow, or shoulder requires surgery.

Treatment is planned by collectively evaluating the source of the problem, the patient’s age, occupation, activity level, and expectations, as well as the characteristics of the condition.

In cases where non-surgical methods are insufficient or the injury requires immediate surgery, the appropriate method for the patient and the specific problem is determined.
